Inspired by three key concepts proposed by Jacques Derrida in Archive Fever, namely, Place of Consignation, Death Drive of Archives, and Interpretation of Archives, artist began to contemplate the authenticity and one-sidedness of photography as an important archival medium. This project aims to reshape the unique photographic genre of portraiture, which possesses archival attributes, by recording the preparation process before taking a portrait shot through a 30-second long exposure. Thus further questioning the objectivity of photography.
